Arigatou International is organising its first international "Train the Trainers" course on how to develop and conduct training programmes on the use of the Learning to Live Together, an Intercultural and Interfaith Programme for Ethics Education. It is an 8 days residential course, starting on the evening of 2 December 2010 and concluding on the morning of 9 December 2010. The course will be held at the Caux International Conference Centre located in the peaceful mountain village of Caux, which offers a unique learning environment with a magnificent view over Lake Geneva. Caux is located 30 minutes from Montreux and 90 minutes by train from Geneva, Switzerland.
Since its launch in 2008, the Learning to Live Together manual has been disseminated and promoted through regional training workshops organised by the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC), and through promotional events arranged in cooperation with UNICEF and UNESCO.
Educators, teachers, parents, youth leaders, religious and community leaders, NGO and UN staff have learned about the manual’s intercultural and interfaith programme for ethics education and began using this resource in their work towards the implementation of children’s rights.
Arigatou International is now offering this international "Train the Trainers" course designed to equip those providing training programmes on the use of Learning to Live Together. In designing this Train the Trainers course, Arigatou International is drawing on the experiences gained from earlier training workshops, and on valuable contributions of professional experts involved with the same concerns.
