Work has begun to plan, prepare and organize for the GNRC Third Forum that will take place in Hiroshima City in Japan  from 24 – 28 May 2008. The Organizing Committee for the Third Forum discussed substantive issues with regard to the coming Forum which will mark 8 years since the establishment of the GNRC

Positive peace cannot be attained without focussing on ethical principles of empathy, respect and reconciliation and skills on conflict transformation. This was learnt during a five-day training workshop organized by The Global Network of Religions for Children and facilitated by theNairobiPeace Initiative, NPI-Africa held inZanzibar.

The first interreligious colloquium of the GNRC-Belgium for young people was held in Brussels from January 26 – 28, 2007. The theme of “Human Dignity” was approached from different religious perspectives through general discussions, moments devoted to spirituality and interactive workshops.

Two Representatives from the GNRCAfricaPeace Clubs Raymond Kassoga andRogersFungo attended the World Social Forum which ended on 25 January inNairobi,Kenya. The duo joined the Caritas/AACC Ecumenical Platform and participated in various workshops, seminars and processions during the Forum.
