Arigatou International Geneva is organising its second International Train the Trainers workshop on how to design, conduct and monitor and evaluate quality training workshops on the use of the Learning to Live Together (LTLT), an Intercultural and Interfaith Programme for Ethics Education. The event will take place from 9 to 13 April 2017, in Menthon-Saint Bernard, France. It will bring together 25 participants previously trained in the use of the LTLT Programme, have had experience implementing it, and have also participated in advanced training courses. Facilitators successfully concluding this training become LTLT certified trainers and are entitled to organise and conduct Basic Training Workshops on the use of the LTLT programme.
The course will be held at the «Le Pavillon des Fleurs », a centre that is located In Menthon-Saint-Bernard, the “Perle du Lac”, on the sunniest shore of Lake Annecy and with a unique learning environment. Accommodation and boarding will be provided in the same venue.
The workshop will follow the principles of the Learning to Live Together Programme and its Ethics Education Framework, which emphasises participatory, experience- based learning methodologies, and places the learning needs of the participants at the centre of the learning process. As a full-time residential workshop, participants will be fully immersed in an enriching learning journey. There will also be opportunities for self-reflection and for more informal social interaction, where participants can share their experiences and learn from one another. Participants will be provided with materials to complement the learning sessions.
The first International Train the Trainers on the Learning to Live Together took place in 2010, involving 24 participants from 21 countries around the world and seven trainers. Since then, the trainers are organising and running Basic Training workshops on the use of the Learning to Live Together in their regions and at an international level, supporting the dissemination of the Programme around the world.
