Ms. Jane Rechtman

Board member at The Centre for Spiritual and Ethical Education

Ms Jane Baron Rechtman, is now retired. She­­­­ held the Henry Sloane Coffin Chair in Religion at The Masters School, an independent day and boarding school in NY, where she taught world religions and bioethics, developed curricula, and has been a class dean. Jane was also trained to become a hospital chaplain.

She is the author and editor of a number of published articles and books, including The Word Book and Readings from the World's Religious Traditions.  She is on the board of The Center for Spiritual and Ethical Education, a resource for schools and parents, and was a co-founder of The Ossining Interfaith Youth Core.

Jane has a Masters in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and a Masters in Medical Humanities from Drew University. Jane lives in Ossining, NY with her husband where they raised their two sons.
