The Learning to Live Together Programme making inroads in Mexico

The Learning to Live Together Programme was introduced for the first time in Mexico with a four-day Facilitator Training Workshop that took place from12 to15 August 2019.

The workshop was organized by GNRC Mexico and took place at the Mexican Theological Community, in Mexico City, bringing together 33 participants to learn about the ethics education approach, principles and methodologies of the LTLT Programme

The participants came from 16 different religious institutions, including Zen Buddhism, Brahma Kumaris, Sai, Christianity (Anglicans, Episcopal, Baptist, Methodist and Roman Catholic), and several NGOs, including World Vision México, Enrique Barrera A.C., Comunidad Teológica de México, Manos Extendidas and Centre for the Protection of Minors from Javeriana University.

It is expected that participants will incorporate the principles of the LTLT Programme into their work in their institutions and that the workshop will contribute to strengthening the GNRC group in Mexico, to develop ethics education programs for the protection and empowerment of children, and prompt concrete actions for the well-being of children and youth in the country.

Special thanks to GNRC Mexico and the Mexican Theological Community for hosting the workshop, and to our trainers: Mr Larry Madrigal, from El Salvador, Mrs Olga Lucia Sierra, from Colombia, and Mr Marco Laguatasi, from Ecuador.
