Building a Culture of Peace - Learning to Live Together in Dominican Republic


The Global Network of Religions for Children, GNRC, Dominican Republic in collaboration with Arigatou International Geneva, organized a Basic Training Workshop on how to use the Learning to Live Together (LTLT) Programme.

The workshop took place in San Victor, Moca from 3 to 6 June 2015 and targeted 30 educators from faith-based organizations, working directly with children, that are committed to implement the LTLT systematically in their organizations.

Facilitator Training Workshop in Bogotá, Colombia

Sixteen participants took part in a four-day Facilitator Training Workshop on the Learning to Live Together Programme, which was held in Bogotá from 16 to 19 August bringing together religious communities, formal education institutions, and representatives from civil society and faith-based organizations. This included the participation of representatives from 11 Buddhist, Christian, Islamic, and secular organizations.

Intergenerational Advanced Workshop Brings Together People From Six Countries in Latin América and The Caribbean

A Latin American and Caribbean Advanced Workshop on Ethics Education for Children took place in El Salvador for participants who are currently implementing the Learning to Live Together Programme in Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Panama. The workshop included youth and adults from the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) and participants from Christian, Buddhist, indigenous and secular partner organizations.

Multiplying Efforts Across Dominican Republic

34 participants coming from each of the 31 provinces of Dominican Republic gathered in Santo Domingo from 2 to 4 June 2017 to go through a Facilitator Training Workshop of the Learning to Live Together (LTLT) Programme. The workshop allowed participants to acquire new knowledge and develop specific skills to foster dialogue, understanding, and respect in at-risk areas throughout the country.

Putting Theory into Practice: First Outcomes After the Second International Train the Trainers

After participating in the Second International Train the Trainers in April 2017, the 27 new official trainers have been putting into practice all their learnings and moving ahead across a wide range of areas, designing new programs for facilitators, crafting projects to foster peacebuilding, interfaith collaboration, and children and youth participation, as well as working for the prevention of violence against children.

Violence Against Children as a Pressing Issue: Insights from the Facilitator Training Workshop in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) Bosnia Herzegovina, in collaboration with Arigatou International - Geneva, organized a Facilitator Training Workshop on the Learning to Live Together Programme, which took place on 27 to 30 September 2018 and brought together 22 educators from primary and secondary schools, religious communities, and other organizations.
