This roundtable discussion, organized by the International Consortium on Nurturing Values and Spirituality in Early Childhood for the Prevention of Violence against Children, aims to increase awareness on violence against children in early childhood among religious communities and its networks, and engage and mobilize them to strengthen norms and values that support non-violent, respectful, nurturing, positive and gender-equitable relations that contribute to reducing parenting practices that violate the dignity of the child.

The roundtable processes and outcomes will support the local organizations and partners in expanding their networks and partnerships with particular attention to interfaith collaborations. A country-specific booklet, which will consist of a compilation of scientific evidence, theological reflections and good practices presented in the roundtable discussion, will be an outcome of the roundtables and will serve as a tool for grassroots advocacy. The main follow up actions deriving from the roundtable discussion will be documented and shared on the website of the Consortium.
